Ghosthunters ‘saw ghost crawling along road’

A TEAM of ghosthunters are to return to a haunted Lothians mansion after claiming they spotted a spooky woman with a broken back crawling along a main road

Lanarkshire Paranormal investigators say they spotted the injured woman – dressed all in black – on her hands and knees as she made her way along a road in Cockenzie, East Lothian.

But after being helped to her feet the ghostly apparition stood up straight, thanked them for their help and then promptly disappeared.

The mysterious encounter came as the ghostbusters visited Cockenzie House, in East Lothian, earlier this year.

And the team have been so impressed with the ghostly goings on at the 17th century mansion they are returning for further investigations next month.

During their last visit, the ghosthunters also say they had other-worldly contact with a man who murdered his wife after his affair was uncovered, heard screams from a young girl and one member received a punch on the arm from an angry spirit named Edward.

In a recent report on the team’s last visit to the spooky home in June, Steff Murdoch-Richards, co-manager of the group, was reported to have gone to the aid of a woman who was crawling on all fours along the main road outside the mansion house.

The report states: “As he helped her up she was very cold and pale and, although she was crawling on the floor in heavy rain, her dress seemed dry and no signs of mud.

“She had no weight to her whatsoever and seemed perfectly fine once she was standing up.

“Within a few moments of walking away, he turned round and she was gone.”

In a video posted on the ghosthunting outfit’s web page, Steff adds: “I started thinking ‘why was she in that position?’

“She was crawling on the floor and it looked like her arms and quite possibly her back had been broken – but there was no sign of that when she stood up.

“And then, obviously, where did she go?”

The spooky encounter came on a night when the investigators had spent several hours in the historic house with guests and encountered a range of paranormal activities.

In the basement, the spirit of a man called Richard who had stabbed his wife Mary after being confronted about having an affair was picked up some members.

While during a séance held during the paranormal team’s visit in July, many people reported hearing a faint scream, while a ghostly presence going by the name of Edward began jabbing people in the ribs and punching one man’s arm.

Several people also reported sensing the presence of a young girl who had severely damaged her legs in a fall, while on the top floor of the property a number of different spirits were sensed.

The paranormal team is returning to Cockenzie House to further investigate the reported phenomena next month.

Mystery Of Ghostly Black-Eyed Child Sightings On Cannock Chase

A paranormal investigator is appealing for witnesses after a resurgence of sightings of an eerie entity known as the “black-eyed child”.

Lee Brickley is scouring the Staffordshire beauty spot of Cannock Chase after receiving claims the girl, “who has coal-black pits for eye sockets” is making appearances again some 30 years after she was first spotted.

Brickley, who is the author of UFOs Werewolves & The Pig-Man: Exposing England’s Strangest Location – Cannock Chase, received the latest report a fortnight ago.

The sighting, which he shared with Huffington Post UK was as follows:

“On Saturday 13th September, my wife and I were walking though Cannock Chase near to Stile Cop with our dog. Once we had entered the woodland, and the road was no longer visible, we started to hear the giggling noise of a little girl.

“To our amazement, a child, no taller than one meter in height appeared as if out of nowhere further up the path in front of us. We stopped dead in our tracks after noticing her eyes had no colour. Her head was tilted to the side in much the same way it would appear if she had been hung.

“She stared at us for around five minutes before running away into a densely grouped area of trees. My wife wanted to follow her, but I was having none of it.”

An earlier description of the girl mirrors that of those chronicled in the early 1980s, the Birmingham Mail reports.

And Brickley published this account of an encounter in July last year on his website, attributed to a woman using the pseudonym Mrs Kelly:

“… Around 2 months ago my daughter and I were walking through Birches Valley (an area well known for it’s spectral sightings) when we heard the screams of a young child. I couldn’t tell if it was a boy or a girl, but they definitely seemed in distress and sounded very close to us, so we instantly started running towards the noise.

“We couldn’t find the child anywhere and so stopped to catch our breath, that’s when I turned round and saw a girl stood behind me, no more than 10 years old, with her hands over her eyes, like she was waiting for a birthday cake.

“I asked if she was okay and if she had been the one screaming, she then put her arms down by her side and opened her eyes, which is when I saw they were completely black, no iris, no white, nothing.

“I jumped back and grabbed my daughter, when I looked again, the child was gone. It was strange really, I knew something was going to happen, even before it did, I just had a weird feeling…”

Brickley told the HuffPost UK: “In my opinion, the black-eyed child seems to be some kind of demon.

“While it might seem like a standard spectral encounter, almost all the reports involve the child leading people towards potentially dangerous situations.

“I have received nine different reports in the last two years from seemingly credible witnesses. During interviews most of their stories have been very similar.

“I’m also appealing for more reports, so if anyone has more information, I ask they get in touch as soon as possible.”

Indeed in a post last year, Brickley spoke of his aunt’s encounter with a black-eyed child back in 1982.

Brickley has also investigated reports of the ‘Pig-Man’ of Cannock Chase (file picture)

Then 18, she was on Cannock Chase one evening when she heard a little girl shouting for help. He wrote:

“She stumbled upon a dirt track and caught sight of the six to eight-year-old girl, running in the opposite direction, shouting ‘help mommy help’.

“… by now it was getting dark and the little girl had reached an area of very densely planted thick and bushy trees. She turned around to face my auntie, looked her dead in the eyes, and then ran off into the dark, compact woodland. At this point, probably very wisely, the decision was made to give up. “

Speculating that the sightings could be related to the Raymond Morris child killings in the 1960s, Brickley adds: “In my mind it seems likely that even if my auntie had continued to chase the little girl, she would never have caught her, because it wasn’t a child at all, but an evil force, planning to do away with my own family member.”

Online fiction forum Creepypasta Wiki also references a “black-eyed people”, though these sightings were predominantly across the pond in North America.

The site, which also spawned the legend of Slender Man, adds they are: “Often children, with eyes that are solid black with no differentiation between sclera, pupil, or iris, and are occasionally reported to have blue or bluish tinted skin like that of a corpse.

“Those who report encounters with them often feel that the children were somehow supernatural and extremely dangerous though they could not explain why.”

And blogger Christine Stockton compiled this list of “16 terrifying encounters with ‘the black-eyed kids’,” as sourced from Reddit.

Cannock Chase has a long history of eerie happenings, according to the BBC, including sightings of a “werewolf-type creature” and a Pig-Man.

As far back as the 1940s, the Pig-Man – a half-human, half-swine, has allegedly been seen by those brave enough to venture into the woods after dark.

Witnesses recall a human body in tattered clothes, a distorted face, an unmistakable snout and the shrill squealing of the Pig-Man heard from miles around.

10,000-year-old rock paintings depicting aliens and UFOs found in Chhattisgarh

CHARAMA (Chhattisgarh): Chhattisgarh state department of archaeology and culture plans to seek help from Nasa and Isro for research on 10,000-year-old rock paintings depicting aliens and UFOs in Charama region in Kanker district in tribal Bastar region.

According to archaeologist JR Bhagat, these paintings have depicted aliens like those shown in Hollywood and Bollywood flicks. Located about 130km from Raipur, the caves come under village Chandeli and Gotitola.

“The findings suggest that humans in prehistoric times may have seen or imagined beings from other planets which still create curiosity among people and researchers. Extensive research is needed for further findings. Chhattisgarh presently doesn’t have any such expert who could give clarity on the subject,” Bhagat told TOI.

There are several beliefs among locals in these villages. While few worship the paintings, others narrate stories they have heard from ancestors about “rohela people” — the small sized ones — who used to land from sky in a round shaped flying object and take away one or two persons of village who never returned.

“The paintings are done in natural colours that have hardly faded despite the years. The strangely carved figures are seen holding weapon-like objects and do not have clear features. Specially, the nose and mouth are missing. In few pictures, they are even shown wearing space suits. We can’t refute possibility of imagination by prehistoric men but humans usually fancy such things,” the archaeologist said.

He added that it is a co-incidence that such ancient images appear to have sharp resemblance to UFOs shown in alien movies. “The fan-like antenna and three legs of vehicle’s stand clearly show a similarity to UFO type craft,” he said.

Other archaeologists would also be consulted for further verification.

Vatican recognizes exorcists’ organization

VATICAN CITY, July 2 (UPI) —The International Association of Exorcists has been formally recognized by the Vatican’s Holy See, an indication the Catholic Church approves of the controversial practice of exorcism. The group, restricted to Roman Catholic priests, was founded in 1990 by six priests. They included Father Gabriele Amorth, known as the “Exorcist of Rome,” who claims to have performed 160,000 exorcisms — the ceremonial process of releasing demons from those possessed by them.

The organization now has 250 members in 30 countries.

Roman Catholic exorcism procedure requires a priest’s consent from his bishop, and examinations by medical specialists to determine if a victim’s medical or psychological issues can be treated by non-religious means. The Church issued a revised guide to exorcism in 1999.

The practice was brought to the attention of the non-Catholic world in 1973 by the film The Exorcist.

“The approval by the Holy See is a joy not only for our association but for the church as a whole. We hope more priests will realize the existence of this dramatic reality, which is often ignored or underestimated. Exorcism benefits people who are suffering, and is doubtless a work of bodily and spiritual mercy,” exorcist Father Francesco Bamonte told L’Osservatore Romano, the official Vatican newspaper, Wednesday.

Although all other categories were reported every year, zombies only made an appearance in 2013.
‘Deeply-troubled individual’

Force spokesman Billy Corrigan said: “The reports include ghost, zombie and witch sightings; hearing and communicating with the aforementioned; the use of witchcraft; claims to be a witch; and witch-hunters.
“I have not included items such as ‘she called me a witch’, or ‘he was in a zombie-like state.'”

He said that while the figures could seem amusing, behind some of the calls may be “a deeply-troubled individual”.

Six of the reports were categorised as “malicious” and Mr Corrigan said West Midlands Police always took action against people who knowingly made nuisance calls to the emergency services.

Over the same period there were 19 calls to the force about sightings of UFOs.

The FOI request was submitted anonymously.

In the past three years West Midlands Police received 55 calls about witches

‘Devil baby’ goes on New York rampage

A demonic infant in a pram has been terrorizing people in the streets of America’s largest city.

Unsuspecting pedestrians reported being accosted by a screaming devil child in a self-propelled pram during a bizarre stunt in the Big Apple this week. Terrified victims of the prank ran screaming as the demonic infant rolled up and jumped out at them while letting out a horrifying wail.

Unsurprisingly, it turned out that the devil baby was in fact a clever promotional stunt for the upcoming movie “Devil’s Due.” A team of special effects experts built the remote-controlled stroller and animatronic infant which required three people to operate.

“People were totally cool with being in the video after getting the living hell scared out of them,” said Thinkmodo co-founder Michael Krivicka. “Each reaction ended with a laughter and everyone loved the look of the baby.”

The movie itself is due for release on January 17th.
